This air fryer sausage and peppers recipe is your go to easy dinner. This delicious meal is made with simple ingredients like Italian pork sausage and bell peppers.
Mix olive oil, balsamic vinegar, herbs and spices and salt and pepper in a small bowl or mason jar. Whisk or shake until well combined.
Slice peppers and onions about ¼ inch thick. Add sliced onions and peppers to a gallon sized zip top bag along with the Italian sausages. Pour the olive oil mixture inside then seal the bag. Toss sausage and peppers to thoroughly coat them in the marinade.
Refrigerate for 30 minutes or longer, up to 8 hours.
Using tongs, place sausages in the air fryer basket in a single layer, evenly spaced apart. Add the peppers and onion mixture in between the sausage links.
Cook for 20 minutes at 350 degrees F or until internal temperature of the sausage reaches 155-160 degrees.
Cooking time may vary depending on the type of sausage you're using. Use a meat thermometer to be sure meat is cooked to a safe internal temperature.
Notes
Try your favorite sausages to change up the recipe.
Precooked sausages are ok too, just adjust cook time if necessary.
Marinating the sausage and peppers first is totally optional but don't skip adding the marinade!
