Air Fryer Pizza Rolls are a fun and easy way to enjoy pizza with fewer calories. These little pizza rolls are great for a quick snack or a light dinner, and they're perfect for parties or game day get-togethers.
1can refrigerated pizza dough about one pound homemade
1cuppizza saucedivided; reserve half for dipping
1 ½cupsshredded mozzarella cheese
¼cupparmesan cheeseshredded or grated
⅔cupchopped pepperoni or cooked hamburgersausage (or mini pepperoni)
½teaspoongarlic powder
½teaspoonItalian seasoning
½teaspooncrushed red pepper optional
Cooking spray such as olive oilcanola or avocado
Instructions
Preheat the air fryer to 330 F.
While preheating, roll pizza dough into a 12 x 8 inch rectangle.
Spread ½ cup pizza sauce over dough.
Sprinkle with mozzarella and parmesan cheeses.
Top with pepperoni, evenly.
Staring on the long end, roll dough as tightly as possible, into a log. If the dough has shrunk, gently stretch it so that it’s 12 inches long again.
To cut dough into 8 equal pieces, start by cutting the roll in half. Continue cutting each piece in half until you have 8 pieces.
Spray air fryer basket with cooking spray. Before placing rolls into the basket, carefully pinch the dough on the bottom to create a seal so the cheese won’t ooze out. Little pinches work best, but some of the cheese and filling may slip out.
Top with extra pepperoni, if desired.
Air fry at 330 F for 10 to 12 minutes, checking at the 10 minute mark. Mine are usually done how I like them at that time.
Serve with marinara, pesto, and ranch dressing.
Notes
You can use less cheese and pepperoni, but don’t add any more. You can replace pepperoni with fresh vegetables like chopped peppers, onions or mushrooms BUT they will have to be precooked and patted dry so the moisture won’t interfere with the cooking process.
