1tablespoonSesame seeds
Chopped fresh parsley or cilantro for garnish.optional
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. and line a 9 by 13 inch baking pan with parchment paper.
Prepare the burger sauce: combine mayo, spicy ketchup, chopped garlic, chopped spicy pickles and pickle juice. Mix until well combined. Set aside.
Spray a large skillet with cooking spray over medium-high heat. Add ground turkey and cook until browned and no longer pink. Add Worcestershire sauce and seasonings and mix well. Remove from heat.
Slice the entire slab of Hawaiian rolls in half horizontally. Place the bottom on the lined baking sheet. Top the bread with 4-6 slices of cheddar cheese.
Add meat mixture. Add burger sauce. Add 4-6 Pepper Jack cheese slices. If you want to add extra pickles or some sliced red onion-do it!
Finally, place on the tops of the rolls on top.
Melt the butter. Add seasonings. Spoon butter over the sliders, evenly. Sprinkle sesame seeds over the top.
Cover with foil and bake for 10 minutes. Remove foil, then bake for an additional 5 (or more) minutes or until the cheese is melted and the tops are slightly golden brown.
Notes
Use any cheese you like or have on hand, just as long as it melts well. American cheese, gouda cheese and mozzarella cheese are all good choices.
If you don't have a 9 by 13 inch pan, a large sheet pan can also be used.I like to use an insulated pan or add a couple sheets of heavy duty foil under the parchment paper.
The bottom of the buns can be hard to cut through if overcooked. After halving the slab of rolls, cut or pull apart the bottom layer so they will be easy to serve from the pan.
